Chris has more than 20 years of restaurant industry experience focused primarily on debt placement, M&A, sale leaseback and complex corporate finance advisory. Prior to joining Auspex Capital, Chris spent seven years as a Senior Vice President/Managing Director at City National Bank (CNB), a subsidiary of The Royal Bank of Canada, where he was hired to expand the franchise lending program nationally.

Chris was consistently a top Franchise Finance loan originator while at CNB. Before CNB, Chris spent 13 years at GE Capital Franchise Finance where he was a Vice President focused on restaurant originations in the Western US. Chris began his professional career in the corporate rotation program at MetLife Capital.

During his restaurant finance career, Chris has personally advised on more than $2.5 billion of innovative and industry leading M&A and debt placements throughout North America. Through the years, Chris has used his experience to help some of the largest multi-unit franchisees and franchisors develop financing strategies to manage their capital needs. His capital structuring experience coupled with his deep banking relationships ensures clients mitigate financing risk and fully maximize their value.

A native of Washington State, Chris earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. Chris resides in Kirkland, Washington with his wife and two children.
